I’m Katie, a composer and sound designer currently working at Rare. I graduated from the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts and play a range of instruments, primarily guitar and bass. I also dabble in voice acting when time permits.
Having grown up in a musical family, I was naturally drawn towards music and, being an avid fan of film, television and games, I quickly found my heart in composing for picture. My influences come from many greats, including John Williams, Alexandre Desplat, Jóhann Jóhannsson, Austin Wintory and many more. Since discovering composition, I have gone on to develop an interest and passion for audio as a whole, exercising a range of personal and professional projects in composition, sound design, editing, recording, voice and more.
To date, I have been involved with a variety of projects, including small films, documentaries, trailers and indie games. I also write for The Sound Architect, reviewing audio for all media, as well as products, software and events.
